Ok, now please everyone remember that I am new to ya'lls Otaku world, so please excuse any ignorance on my part.
So, the problem I am having is finding manga without pictures. I am an avid reader. You rarely ever find me without a book. I would like to get into manga, but I HATE books with pictures. I like to use my own imagination to visualize the book. I hate when my mental images dont match up with the illustrations.
SO... Does anyone know of any manga that are picture-free?
Thank You

Ah ha! I have the solution for you =D It's called "light novels." They are basically what you could call "manga without words" =) There are light novels at book stores in the states and canada now due to the popularity of anime that are coming out based on light novels =) The first Haruhi light novel is going to be released at some point in this month (which I am UBER excited for). There are already releases of Kino no Tabi and Missing at local bookstores. but if you want something to read right now (such as the ToraDora light novels), then here is a place for you: www.baka-tsuki.org

You can ask them about light novels or even request one of those series I mentioned.

Chibi Vampire has light Novels, so does Gravitation (yaoi, read at your own risk), and a few others. Borders does have those specifically, I've checked frequently, lol. Its all a matter of knowing where to look and what you're looking for

You're welcome!!
I highly reccomend Kino no Tabi (but only one volume has been released by Tokyopop... which upsets me because they have the series licenced!) if you like fantasy =D
